Login – Troubleshooting Wayne Login Issues

Username / Default Password Format

Students

  • Username Format: 1st Initial of First Name, Middle Initial (if available), Full Last Name, Last 4 digits of Student ID number
  • Example: James William Smith, Student ID 0123456 – jwsmith3456
  • Default Password: Different for every person, It is based on the person’s last name and birthdate
  • Example: 1st Letter of Last Name (Smith), Capitalized
    2nd Letter of Last Name, Lowercase
    Six Digit Birthdate (March 23, 1975)
  • Password would be “Sm032375”

Employee

Account Creation Timeline

Students

System Name / Type When Access is Provided How Credentials are Provided
AD After application is completed Accounts are normally available 24 hours after a student has been put into the system in an applied status

Employee

System Name / Type When Access is Provided How Credentials are Provided
AD During application process An employees’ account will be available 24 hours after HR has finished their processes to assign a position code for the person.

 


First Time Login / Account Activation

New Students/Employees have a default password set, different for every person

Have the user,

  • Go to https://waynecc.okta.com
  • Enter the Username & Password
  • It is based on the person’s last name and birth-date and it will be listed below
  • New User Password
  • 1st Letter of Last Name, Capitalized
  • 2nd Letter of Last Name, Lowercase
  • Six Digit Birth-date
  • Example:  Last name Smith, Birth-date March 23,1975
  • Password: Sm032375

Self Help Forgot Password / Reset Tool

Have the user,

  • Enter the Username OR Email address
  • Click on any of the given option via SMS OR via Email


Self Help Password Change (user knows current password)

Have the user,

  • Go to https://waynecc.okta.com
  • Enter the Username & Password
  • On the main screen, click on drop down from the right top corner
  • Click on Settings

  • On the next screen, enter the Current / New & Confirm Password
  • Click on Change Password
